Riverfront Trail Day, an event for Senior Citizens and Physically Disabled individuals, is scheduled for September 24, 2008 in Washington, Missouri. The free event is sponsored by the Washington Rotary Club and the Washington Parks and Recreations Department. Activities include includes tram rides, wheelchair escorts, refreshments and bingo. Additional information provided by the organization is included below. The photographs in this article were taken by Curt Dennison at the 2007 Riverfront Trail Day. The event had been previously scheduled for June, but was rescheduled due to weather and flooding on the riverfront.
Join us for a delightful tour of the Riverfront Trail along with Bingo games -- Wheelchair escorts are available at 8am, 9am and 10am. Tram rides are available at 9am, 9:30am, 10am, 10:30am, 11am, (no electric wheelchairs or scooters are allowed on the trams) Lunch served from 10:30am - 1:30pm Reserve your spot to see the Beautiful Rotary Rivefront Trail, Rain date is scheduled for Wednesday, October 1.
