St. John's Mercy Offers Free Breast Health Screenings to Eligible Women

St. John's Mercy, in partnership with Show Me Healthy Women and Susan G. Komen for a Cure St. Louis Affiliate, will provide these free breast health screenings and mammograms in Franklin and St. Charles counties in 2011:

• April 20, June 15, Aug. 17, Oct. 19 and Dec. 7 in Suite 100 at St. John’s Mercy Medical Building, 851 East Fifth Street in Washington.
• April 27 at Crider Center, 1032 Crosswinds Center in Wentzville.
• June 29 at St. John's Mercy Medical Office, 739 West Springfield Road in Gerald.
• Sept. 28 at the AGAPE House, 1095 North Service Road West in St. Clair.

In addition, women with suspicious test results will receive additional imaging. If cancer is diagnosed, the program also covers treatment expenses.

Free screenings are offered to women who are 40 to 64 years of age who are uninsured or underinsured and meet income guidelines. Women who are 35 to 39 years old who meet the same insurance and income guidelines are eligible for a free breast screening if they are having certain symptoms.
