Two additional mayoral candidates have filed for candidacy, as has one additional City Council candidate for the April, 2010 Washington, Missouri municipal election. Additional candidates for the Washington Mayor seat are: Leonidas Payne and Nick Kotakis. Jeff Mohesky, currently holding a Ward 2 City Council seat, was the first to file for the Mayor seat. Tom Strubberg filed for candidacy for the Ward 4 Council seat. That seat is currently held by Carolyn Witt. Witt filed for re-election earlier this week. Witt was previously elected to the Council in 2006 and 2008 and was elected Mayor Pro Tem in 2009.
