Chief Hahn Provides Suggestions For Dealing With Bridge Traffic [VIDEO] |

During the Washington, Missouri City Council meeting Monday evening, Chief Hahn provided comments and suggestions to citizens regarding the traffic backups on Route 47. Traffic congestion has been the result of a lane closure on the Route 47 Missouri River Bridge in Washington. The Chief provided a number of suggestions, including that drivers consider alternative routes, avoid Third and Fifth Street if possible, to queue up on Route 47, to be patient, and to not block intersections. Chief Hahn noted, "if people are blocking the intersection, one car is all it takes and it will just clog it up unbelievably." The Chief indicated that Officers have been on duty assisting with the traffic and will be writing summons if there are flagrant violations related to drivers blocking an intersection.
